Just Spring

Rite of Spring. 22" x 30". acrylic on paper. (Ptg #19).

in Just-
spring          when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame balloonman

whistles          far          and wee

and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it’s

when the world is puddle-wonderful

the queer
old balloonman whistles
far          and          wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing

from hop-scotch and jump-rope and

balloonMan          whistles

    1. I’m sure e.e. would have loved our Liverpool lads…poets all. Thank you so much Leslee for your comment and mille grazie for ‘millefiori’…never thought of it in that way before…

    1. Thank you Ina and happy to hear la Primavera is with you too. Am enjoying as much as I can, frolicking with worms and Robins, raking leaves and jumping in puddles, opening windows and my heart…

  1. Beautiful painting! I could hear Stravinsky and could feel the dancers come alive! It made me feel as though the celebrants are ghosts in breezes covering a delightful earth.
