Pool Party

Pool Party 2

at the blue pools,

in intimate liquids

of passion,

ten beings,

of indeterminate gender,

race or species,

gather together

to celebrate

an anniversary of light,

a forgetting of time.

in slippery skin,

strawberry champagne,

laughter and flowers,

they lantern the night

with blushing desires,

and with heartbeats

in the dancing dawn

they serenade the lovers

and the naked moon.

painting and poem by clinock.

painting: acrylic and mixed media on canvas. 30″ x 20″ (76.2 cm x 50.8 cm).

  1. Now that is some Pool Party John…….your poem lets us share the intimate detail of the frolicking carrying on at this pool where a little too much strawberry champagne transformed the ten characters involved. Great fun…….great post!

  2. If you are Philippa then it’s there…I invited ten because it was a tenth anniversary party, but others may have slipped in over the back fence when I wasn’t looking ;). Yes, good fun indeed and thanks for looking so well…

  3. I wish I could create art to go with my words they way you do! You have done well with art and words. “Naked moon…blushing desires” – pool party indeed. Your art is always the unexpected. And thanks for the recent visit to my blog.
